My journey in automotive photography began long before I ever picked up a professional camera. Back in 2015, I was the kid sketching cars, playing Need for Speed, and collecting diecast models. With nothing more than a small Nokia phone, I started photographing every sports car I could find, experimenting with angles and perspectives.
In 2019, I launched my Instagram page, MattCartist, to share this passion with fellow automotive and motorsports enthusiasts. Since then, my work has grown into private shoots, event coverage, and collaborations that have connected me with amazing people in the industry.
After high school, I pursued a degree in Automotive Technology to deepen my knowledge of cars, which has strengthened my photography and career path in the automotive world.
As for favorites, the Porsche brand lineup holds a special place in my heart, something you’ll notice in my portfolio. Some of my most memorable experiences come from world-class automotive gatherings like Monterey Car Week, SEMA show, and the Rolex 24. These are the events I look forward to every year.
